REHABILITATION OF ELDERS
Vermase is making an impact in Haiti!
Last year, Jean and members of the foundation travelled to Haiti to help improve the quality of life for Christian elders and widows with disabilities and in serious need of medical attention. The team provided medical supplies that have been donated by doctors and hospitals to those in needs.
Prior to distribution of supplies, Jean spoke to a group of mostly widows and single women on preventive healthcare. There were many trained professionals at the scene, including doctors, nurses, assistants, health agents and volunteers.
As Jean describes, it is Vermase's goal to undertake a massive humanitarian effort to care for sick Christian men and woman in a country where health care almost non-existent. These individuals were once prayer warriors in the Church, but today their bodies are taking a toll on them. They are strong in spirit and remain day to day in prayer in a country where regular check-ups and screening are not available for the sick and terminally ill.
We encourage you to contribute to the spiritual, social, moral development and the healthy maintaining of the destitute widows and widowers in the Haitian evangelical community.
Vermase advocates service, integrity, loyalty, respect and friendship; these core values have been and will continue to be our ingredients for staying green despite the drought.
